Global Field Entry #4

From what has been researched, France has a similar social class structure to the U.S., on the bottom you have the working class or lower class, the bourgeoisie (the middle class) and the upper class. In France the lower class is all of the lower income or lower education population as well as some smaller farmers. The bourgeoisie or the middle class can range from low-mid education people like low-scale managers or traders to high level education people like doctors and lawyers, and the upper class includes the rich and wealthy, politicians, and very high-level education people. The main problem for every country is structural inequality and that is very common in France. While the upper class produces 40% more carbon then the lower, the lower class is made to pay estimated 4 times as much in carbon taxes compared to the upper class. There is estimated 8.8 million people below the poverty line, that being an income less than €1,026 monthly, 30% of those 8.8 million are farmers with their monthly income being less than €350 or $402(rounded). There is also inequality in healthcare in France for the lower class, it is said that most people in the lower class skip or miss their specialty appointments like dentist, OBGYN, or dermatologists due to being able to pay for the appointment or not being able to pay the part not covered by insurance. As well as the life expectancy age between the upper class and lower class. With the upper classes life expectancy at around about 84 years old, and the life expectancy of people in poverty is 71 years old. Alongside healthcare comes food, and about 20% of French people find it hard to eat, with about 5.5 million French using food aid and only about 1.2% eating the proper 5 portions of food per day. Water is a necessity to everyone's lives and about 650,000 lower class French people are connected to the main drinking water, and millions of households only having access to one water source at a larger than their income price.
